I thought I would write a post about my hubby and his awesome news.

He has always worked so hard for us. He's always had at least two jobs. He's worked some not so fun jobs too. April 2011 he got hired to work at Steton, an accounting/auditing software company here in St. George. The job was part time and the pay was only so-so. He had to keep working for his dad's company just to bring in enough money. But we knew that working at Steton was an awesome opportunity. Dane has worked so hard there and is an amazing employee for them. He's learned everything so fast and has taken on a lot of responsibility. He kept asking if it would be possible to ever work full time and they kept telling him that it wasn't in the budget.

Dane was getting worried that we weren't going to have enough money coming in so he decided to apply for another part time job across town. He showed up at Steton all dressed up for his interview later in the day and everyone asked what he was all dressed up for! News spread to his boss and the CEO that Dane had a job interview somewhere else. I think that got them nervous. All of a sudden they were bending over backwards trying to get him more hours and full-time work. Well, the beginning of March, a coworker of Dane's got offered another job in Atlanta, Georgia, and couldn't turn it down. Viola! A full time position opened up! They immediately got to work lining everything up for Dane to start full-time. He was offered a great salary, benefits and insurance! WE ARE SO EXCITED! It couldn't have come at a better time either with the baby coming and all.

Dane has worked so hard there. He's learned so much. It's a great opportunity to work for Steton. I'm so incredibly proud of him and his willingness to do whatever it takes to support our family.

The original plan was for me to find a teaching job and start working this upcoming school year. With Dane working full-time and making more money now AND with me being pregnant and due in September, we both decided that I can take a year or two off to raise our baby. I'm so lucky that we are in a position to be able to do that. We feel very blessed.
