the best five days

Dane and I had a way fun couple of days this past weekend. For the summer, I worked out my schedule with the office so I work six days ON and I get six days OFF. So I was lucky to have Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off! Wahoo! I don't know how I feel about the upcoming work week, but the time off was great!

A lot of Dane's family was in town over the weekend so we got to spend some time with them. Friday afternoon Dane went golfing with his brother's Mark and Shane and his dad. Dane would be in heaven if he could golf 24/7. I don't understand it. But Dane is pretty darn good though. So it's all good. Having it be perfect weather and pretty area helps.

After Dane was finished golfing, we headed up to Pine Valley with our friends Aubrey and Shandon. We roasted some weenies for dinner and had s'mores. We put our marshmallows on chocolate covered graham crackers which was awesome! After our dinner, we walked around the lake/pond (we couldn't decide what it should be called) a little ways. It was actually really pretty and the weather was great up there. We had a lot of fun hanging out. We'll probably go up again soon.

Saturday was a fun day also! We went with all of Dane's family to Cafe Rio for lunch... which would have be awesome, as usual, but this time Dane and I decided to share a burrito. Dane usually likes hot sauce on his and I usually get Mild sauce. Well I thought getting the Medium sauce would be a good compromise... and it was. Too bad it was I didn't like it very much haha. We won't be sharing anymore.

After lunch we went to the ball fields and played a game of baseball. It was a lot of fun. Our nephews are super good at stuff! Max and Zach were little pro's out there making all of us look bad. Even our younger nephews were pretty good. I think we'll be playing more baseball, definitely. At least if I have anything to say about it!

After baseball, we switched families. We went over to my parents house for s'mores and a Kye-Max. The s'mores we made this time were way good too! Instead of just plain chocolate we used Rolos... ooooh man, they were good. Our niece is just barely starting to sit up on her own and we got this cool family pic with her sitting in her own little "cow" shaped chair. SO CUTE!

Now, in case you don't know what a Kye-Max is, it's like an IMax movie, just better (named after my awesome brother Kye of course). We pull out our projector and surround sound and set up chairs and beanbags and blankets and pillows outside and watch a movie. I love it! We watched Sahara. It was the first time Dane had seen it and I think he liked it! I love that movie. I really like the book too. I would recommend it to anyone! Betcha didn't know it was a book!

Sunday was a great day at church. We spent the afternoon hanging out with my family. Since Dane's parents and my parents only live about six blocks apart, we switch weeks having Sunday dinner at each place. I love being with family on Sunday's and just playing games and laughing.

Monday we went with Dane's fam to the splash pad on main street. These pics are of our nephews Max and Zach who I mentioned before. They are crazy funny kids. We got to spend time with our other niece and nephew Carson and Olivia who we don't get to see too often which was a blast. They're way cute kids.

Now, it's Tuesday. Today I finally decided to buckle down and start my online summer physics class. Oh man is it going to be tough. I spent a good couple hours on just two problems! Yikes! Luckily, my awesome shwangheim came home from work and decided he wanted to make dinner. How cool is that! And it was good too! He made pesto chicken pasta with garlic bread... way fancy. The first plate is mine...

And this plate is Dane's... He likes his garlic bread I guess! HA.

Life has been great. I'm so grateful to have married into a family where I get to play with tons of nieces and nephews! I went from having zero to having 22 the day I married Dane. I also gained some awesome sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. I love the Schole's family! I love my family too! Both of our families are in completely different stages in life, so its fun to be a part of both. My parents got their first grandchild last year, so we're at the very beginning! I love being an Aunt and I love my family!

welcome!

So, not the best picture quality. But, thankfully to advances in technology, you can purchase color enhancing, vision enhancing, 1080p, HD sunglasses at http://www.asseenontvguys.com/hd-vision-ultra.aspx, and problem solved! (And for an extra perk, it will cut down on the glare. Sweet! Purchasing...now.)

Moving on... this is our home/apartment! We love our home/apartment. The owner of our apartment complex recently put in a ton of new upgrades, lucky us! We live in an end unit, which is bliss. We even have our own little side yard goin on. It's a great patch of grass.

We're pretty happy about it.

Welcome inside!

This is our living room, where we spend most of our time. I love my tan walls!

Opposite our family room is our kitchen/dining area. In case you don't have your HD glasses, that sign above the door says "Summer of Sara". In my family, we each get the chance to have our own summer, but you have to call it first. This summer is mine. Basically there's nothing different about this summer as opposed to others, I just get a cool sign.

Kitchen.

There is more to our apartment, but it wasn't clean at the moment.

We have lived at this complex for our whole marriage and we are so lucky to have found this place. We first lived in a smaller apartment here that was a second story, two bedroom place, and it was just as great up there! When we moved from that apartment to this one, I was SO sad. I hated that we were moving from our very first place. It was so cute and cozy. I loved it up there! I even took a video tour of it before we left for posterity's sake. So now, this post is my tour of our current place, which, turns out, I love even more than the first place! I'm sure I'll be just as sad when/if we ever leave here. I'd be happy if we could stay here forever! But Dane thinks that a house would be better... he's probably right. Whatev.

Welcome! Now you pretty much know everything about us!

all work and no play is going to make swear a rich girl someday

It seems like all we ever do is work.

Dane is so busy working three different jobs. Before he got his latest job at Steton, he just worked for his dad. He pretty much picked the hours he wanted to work, and it was pretty steady. He was living the life... sleeping in until 9ish, working until 3ish, taking days off to golf. But, it could only last so long before the loving wife got jealous and made him find more work. He didn't mind the idea. I don't think he wanted us to live in poverty the rest of our lives. Anyways, so he got a job a Steton! It's part-time and works great with his other job still. So he gets to do it all! Lucky guy. As soon as he started working there, things picked up at the apartments and we had 4 people moving out and 4 different people moving in all in a two-week time span. It was crazy. But everyone is in and happy now.

I have been busy with school lately. I have been on a fast-track to make up time. I WASTED! a whole years worth of school thinking I wanted to be a business major. I get so frustrated thinking I could be finished with school right now if I just would have known what I wanted all along. I'm super jealous of everyone graduating right now. But, I just have one more year left, and I can handle that... I think. I decided I wanted to go into math education after I took a business calculus class from Prof. Hunt. He was great. Math was fun and understandable in his class. So I decided I wanted to be a teacher like him. So, in an effort to make up a years worth of time I completed 3 semesters of calculus, 2 semesters of abstract algebra, euclidean/non-euclidean geometry, linear algebra, diferential equations, discrete mathematics, trigonometry, probability/stats, and 15 credits of education pre-requisites. Now I am just one year away! I am studying for the Praxis Math Content test that I will take over the summer, then in the fall I start the Secondary Education program (19 credits, yikes!). Spring 2012 I will student teach and in May 2012 I will have my diploma in hand! Then we will start being gazillionaires (with a teacher's salary, HA!).

So, life is very busy right now, but it's all good. We love everyday and we are excited for the future.

Overall, we are so blessed and so grateful.

Swear's Words

SO! Here we are. I have probably started a blog for us at least a hundred times now... hopefully this one will stick. So, for an introduction:

For those of you who don't know Dane, his nickname since highschool is Shwangheim, or just Shwang for short. Most of his friends probably don't know his real first name. Shortly after meeting Dane, I got my own nickname, swear. It doesn't mean anything derrogatory like you were thinking. We met in May of 2008 in our college singles ward. Awww. Dane says he first saw me when I was giving a talk in church. I first met Dane through some friends. We first got to know eachother at a FHE. We were at one of the bishopbric's houses watching a SUPER boring movie about... well, I don't really know what it was about. I was talking to Dane through the entire thing. I kept getting texts from my friends across the room saying, "oooh looks like you found a boy" "how's it going over there" and "are you guys dating!" It was pretty fun. He asked me out on our first date after that and we went and saw Kung Fu Panda and ate at Cafe Rio. It was probably the best date of all time! We stayed up until almost 2 in the morning talking and hanging out. He felt way bad when I told him I had to be at work at 6:30 the next morning. He kept saying, "Why didn't you tell me! I wouldn't have kept you up this long!" But the truth was, I didn't care! I was having such a good time. So we saw eachother every single day after that. We were always together. It was perfect.

Dane proposed. And I don't remember when. Isn't that horrible? I always see people say, this is our engagement anniversary, or today is our first date anniversary! I have no idea when all our anniversaries are. All I know is that it was the end of August sometime. :) Dane took me to a suprise picnic in Snow Canyon Park. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! It was another great date. We were married on December 19th (the only important date I do remember!). Our wedding was great. I don't think I knew then how lucky I was to be marrying Dane. He is wonderful. He is everything perfect for me and I barely knew it then. I'm lucky I get to be with him FOREVER!

Wedding day!

Congrats shwangheim!

Getting ready to eat delicious food.

My fancy-smancy cake!

our "can't feel our faces any longer because we've been smiling so much" faces. Dane's looks pretty good if I do say so myself.
